It's not going to be a shaggy dog story, I promise. Just a few words about me and then you can get on with looking at (and hopefully liking) the work.

Over the last 30 years I've been lucky enough to work as a Copywriter and Creative Director at some of the best Agencies in the World, including Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett, BBDO, TBWA and JWT.

And for some of the best Marketeers and biggest brands: P & G, Sky, Kelloggs, McDonalds, News International, Nissan, BT, Walt Disney World, Anchor, Nintendo, Esso Chemicals, to name a few.

I've worked on tv, radio, print and posters, websites, digital emails, gifs, social media posts, technical video, leaflets, fmot, brochures...in fact pretty much anything that needs writing and ideas.

My focus is on creating work that is insightful, fresh, persuasive and relevant. But above all that stands out from the crowd. Because if you want to change someone's mind about your brand, you've first got to get them to notice you.

Hence the dog. After all, doesn't everyone love a cute dog?

This is 'Sergeant Ice Cream' by the way, my 45 kilo Briard.

Work
Here's a short (just 2mins 40s, honest) compilation  of some work I've done. If you'd like to see more, the complete ads. are below.

TV & VIDEO

In the vast rural areas of developing countries,  new Mums find it incredibly difficult to get their new babies to the medical clinics they need. That's why the 'Pampers Mobile Clinic' was created, to take the clinic to the mums.

I directed, shot, scripted, edited and recorded the voice over for this online video, in the Rift Valley, Kenya.

In 2006, Pampers pledged to work with Unicef to help wipe out newborn tetanus - the number one cause of death for babies in developing countries.

A  simple in store mechanic was created to involve Mums in helping - for every pack they buy, Pampers would donate a life saving vaccine for mothers and babies at risk. And for Mums who wanted to do more, we created different digital ideas every year with award-winning results.

Here's one of them; Mums sent a digital kiss to babies in need by uploading pictures of them kissing their own babies, or even just clicking on a picture of a kiss on our website. Pampers then donated a further life saving vaccine.

The work below celebrated the seventh year of the campaign with videos shot by seven year old kids who had survived to that age thanks to this life saving vaccine.

Wella 'Shockwaves' demonstrates how quick and easy it is to control even the messiest hair, in an ultimate 'torture 'test.

McDonald's produced a new 'Spicy' burger.

'A great day starts with a Pampers night.' Developing countries' campaign focussing on importance of sleep for a happy and playful day.

Coco Pops and milk are made for each other, you can't keep them apart.

The 'Nappy Run' is an annual fun run in aid of incontinence amongst older, handicapped kids. Runners wear a nappy and donate a pack of nappies as an entry fee.

Kelloggs first ever foray into the hot breakfast, porridge oats category.

Kelloggs 'snacks' launched 'Chocolate Rice Krispie Squares' focussing on the younger market.

Kelloggs Rice Krispie Squares are a big eat that doesn't weigh you down.

You'll find a lot more than Mickey Mouse at a Walt Disney World Resort holiday.

McDonalds sponsored the football escorts for the World Cup.

Nicole Kidman is the spokesperson for Nintendo's 'Brain Training' game.

Anchor cows, famous for only eating fresh, green grass... and dancing.

Print, outdoor etc.

                                    Music!

We formed a punk band ‘Sid Sideboard and the Chairs’ at school, had quite a local following and released 3 singles that all bombed. 30 years later, we got back together, released the inevitable Christmas single and have been playing pubs, clubs, festivals and parties ever since. Here are three of our songs, find out more on our facebook page and see more videos on our Youtube page.

Also... wrote this kids’ novel a couple of years ago, with illustrations by my good mate John Jessup. Kids seem to like it, as it’s a bit cheeky, silly and exciting. You can get it on Amazon and most book sites.

Oh and for all you cat lovers out there, here’s a picture of my cat Raffles .......     Cheers!
